Happy birthday to me!

Yes, it is my birthday and I am 37! (Why are women so scared about their ages - EMBRACE the age girlfriends!)
It was a pretty normal day: I got up early with Josh and graded/wrote my op ed piece. Then I had a nice time writing in my journal and then I had a little nap! Ellie and I went to Wally world (yes, I know it's the evil empire -but I live in Tooele - it's the only place to shop!) and then I had a big bowl of peaches and cream (it's worth the milk points).

Then Ellie and I went outside and she played around and I weeded like 1/3 of our yard. Some the weeds escaped the 'feed and weed' AND they have SERIOUS pokies - so I am trying to pull them all up and get them out BEFORE they develop pokies. Since the grass is just growing in, you had to do it by hand. That was hot. I went around the house and THERE WAS A GUY WITH FLOWERS - FOR ME!! From my sweetie! I was so happy!! The card says "Next year we can have our own flower garden." AHHHAHAHAHAHHAA

I think I got heat cramps out in the yard - I couldn't move my stomach. So of course, I weeded some more and then took a shower and lay on my bed for 30 minutes (and felt better after some apple juice).

Monkey and I dropped off some props at the theater and we went to my final concert. Josh came and it was pretty nice. We sang three songs that I love (and some other songs). Now we are at home and relaxing. I really like to be home.

Here is the op-ed piece I wrote last week about beauty pageants. I have gotten more comments about this article than any other piece. Obviously a potent topic!
