Arts week!

This was certainly an arts-y week for us!

Ashley performed in her play, "Crazy for You" five times! We went to see her on Tuesday and then the aunties came to see her on Saturday. It was delightful and she was a wonder Follies Girl/ensemble member.

Ellie was in a concert with the symphony on Saturday (where it was very cold).

Go girls!

Biking

So you may remember that we bought two two-wheeler bikes a few months ago from Uncle Mike. Check me out tooling around the 'hood! (What you don't see is me screaming under the helmet).

Then our friend Mark Bullock let Josh ride around on his motorcycle and then Josh wanted to borrow a motorcycle from Monte. So the boys motored up there yesterday and now we have a borrowed motorcycle. So come and play! Also the boys working on the siding for the shed.

More about me

Here I am being happy after submitting my final grades for SLCC!! All I have this summer is Speech with BYU-I. The first few weeks are pretty easy - they read the book and take quizzes (graded by the computer) and do little projects working up to their first speech (this week it was library research to find sources).

A

lso my seesters and me as we attend the Easter party at Holly's house. I love my sisters,

And a picture of the bump in the car I made while trying to park at my therapist's office. It made a bad noise. I left a note, but they did not call. It was a tight spot, not for a mini van. And when I drove around the corner, there was a huge spot right there!?!??!?!?!?!?!

Anyway, then last night I was backing out of the Bullock's drive way and there was this bad crunch noise, and I had backed into one of the big rocks around their drive way. I am discouraged. Josh says he still loves me.

We went to get Mother's Day flowers for the ward ladies this morning - so many flowers made me happy1 And I will plant some more. So there is good and bad.

The ladies

Cousin Kristen and I have been going to the Tulip Festival for quite a few year. This year (because it has been so cool - they extended it by a week - so we are going again next week - and eating lunch - outside! at the cafe). We are super fancy. We love to talk, look at the pretty flowers and enjoy life. She just finished the first year of a PhD program, but decided she didn't want to research, so she is going back to doing speech therapy at the school district.

A cute picture of Ellie. She tried out for Z-Motion (a school dance company) this year (and last) and needed a headshot.

Some of my pretty flowers. Planting more this weekend!

Genealogy and the play!

So Michael's cousin once removed  (Moo's uncle and  her dad were brothers), can over on Sunday and brought up a huge bin of photo albums from her family and two BIG books of written out genealogy. (And I am shooting myself for not getting a picture of her with Michael). Apparently after Brent retired (Michael's other grunkle) he totally got into genealogy and researched tons and tons and made these marvelous books). Even Sara said they had nice binding.

SO awesome! So I went down to consult my expert genealogist Sara and we dived right in! There were just pages and pages and pages of completed family group sheets - with fun stories on the other side! Most of the temple work has been done, but there were quite a few names that Michael can work on.

Ashley's play also started this week. Crazy for You is fun - she is a Follies Girl and in the ensemble scenes. She loves it. All the aunties are coming Saturday for the final night. She and Chris after their opening night. Also her sticky hands after she painted the door frame with latex based paint (?).
