Awesome-est bedtime: took only 3 hours tonight! (vs 4.5 last night)
Awesome-evening - Michael and Daris and Ashley screeking around the yard laughing
Awesome-est night Pt. 1 - Girls downstairs laughing, eating third bowl of ice cream while daddy reads "Artimis Foul" Awesome-est night Pt. 2 - Two boys upstairs giggling their heads off at "Roses are Pink, You have Stinky Feet" CD.
Have a nice evening.
(Remember this comes after the girls didn't want to move downstairs, and Daris said that Michael "was bothering him.)
We are the Happy Herrons. I, the writer of this blog, am the adoring wife of Josh, happy mom to Ellie, Ashley and Michael. I have amazing friends and love to bake (even if it is gluten-free).

Our new friends
After a phone call about an emergency placement, I was driving home from my first therapy appointment and the caseworker called and asked if we would take two kiddos - ages 5 and 2.
(I am sure you will remember it was literally on the way home from my celiac diagnosis that they called about Michael).
Anyway: Darius, aged 5 - he is smart, respectful and pretty cool:
Deanndra is 2 and a total cutie, but a bit scared:
We are doing good - I did have to go to Wally world this morning because there was NO WAY IN HECK I was taking all those kiddos to the store tomorrow) and skipped church after sacrament meeting.
And here are some random craftie turtles that people were making before and after church

Our $500 egg
Yep, we have an egg:

After 4 months of eating, chicken rangling and pooping - our chicks have graduated to chickens! (when they actually start laying eggs)
Josh figures it like this:
Chicks: $28
Coop: $420
Bedding: $15
Feed: $30
And here is Ashley being EXCITED (sorry I couldn't make the letter big enough to show her excitement).
Hopefully we will be seeing more soon (both eggs and Ashley's excitement)
And here are some pictures of the famous chickens:
