Other summer stuff

Michael and his man-horde were given some cardboard boxes and, after  many days of excitement, built a fort.

I finally made myself a "tennis ball car stopper" (aka a snowball on some yard string). Go me!

And here, finally , is a picture of us going to the Foster Care day at Cowabunga Bay!! We go every August for like the past seven years as sort of a reward for finishing our foster license for the year. I love love love it when we are all there, dancing and singing in the kiddie pool all together. Seriously one of my favorite times. This year we were rocking to YMCA. Go Team Herron!

Favorite summer EVER

This has honestly been my favorite summer EVER!!  I have worked on my self, staying relaxed. I laid in bed quite a bit, sat and read, did NOT go tons of places, etc.

(school starts in 10 days - can't decide if I am happy or sad. The kids and I start the same day)

Garden

Josh and I have been starting a garden from seed, nurturing them, planting them carefully, etc.

Not this year.

This year at the end of May I just announced I was going to Home Depot and buying tomatoes (and some cabbages).

I did get some beans, peas, etc. in also.

And the strawberries are yummy! And my planter worked!!! (third time is really a charm)

Boys

As you know, Michael usually has to suffer through a huge amount of girls all year round.
HOWEVER - this summer he has formed a little posse of men-friends!
They are quite fun and Moo is loving the man-time!
We have KedRick Hunsaker, Mattky Black, Calvin Black, Bryton Worsencraft, Jeff and Moo.

Ellie got a bike

And it is even purple with flowers!

Best $20 yard sale find ever! Even thought it took me and moo and Ellie about an hour to get the back tire off and changed and then we had to wait for dad to show up how to get the chain back on. She LOVES it! Now she and can bike together and she can take herself to dance a few time!!

Lot of fun stuff lost

So we did lots of fun stuff that I took pictures of on my phone, and then I got a NEW PHONE for my anniversary giftie!!
I will leave this space blank and see if I can somehow get the pictures off and email them to myself.
