Happy New Year's Eve!

We had another delightful 'dink around the house day.' Miss Maryanne invited the kids to go swimming, so Ash and Moo had a delightful time. I went to the gym and then we all went and got our last shopping done for the Chinese extravaganza! Miss Maryanne, Gabe, Miss Kristen, Miss Josie and her boyfriend Scott came for dinner. There were too many dishes to even list - like grilled pork with hot mustard; egg rolls; crab, tofu and something else cakes; beef stir-fry; and my favorite - tons of shrimpies. Then we watched Star Wars #4 (I think), had purple cows and now we are on the count-down of four minutes. Here is a selfie after the Bluemlein tradition purple cows. Happy New Year!

Adventure day

After enjoying ourselves sitting around for most of the week, we went off on an adventure on Thursday. I wanted to go the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point, so we did that. I do like a dinosaur, too bad I can't pronounce any of their names.
Then we went to Sheels to find boots for Moo for our snow-shoeing adventure in two weeks (as foster parents we are getting a GREAT deal on a snow shoeing trip with a local outdoor adventure group - Splore (for a little free publicity for them). It includes all the equipment, cocoa, and lunch! And transportation! So we all needed good boots. Now we are set. There is a ferris wheel at the store. Dad didn't want to go, can you image? The rest of us had fun, except when the seats rolled!

Christmas day at home

It was wonderful to have a nice Christmas a home. It has snowed at least 8 inches in the night! And snowed off and on all morning. It was beautiful! Moo was our first one up  - at 7:13 a.m. everyone soon followed and we have a Christmas sing-a-long in our bed. Then it was presents! Much playing and enjoying being together. We are grateful for everyone in our lives and especially our Savior.

Christmas Eve!

So we have been planning Christmas Eve day at Heather's for months - we are so excited it finally happened! We arrived after our Saturday chores and the feast was laid out - yum! I should have taken a picture of the goodies. Then there was eating, talking, laughing, more Lego-ing, a trip to  Cost-co and general merri-ment. Then there was a Christmas play (directed by Grandma) and rice pudding (by me which turned out pretty yummy!) and then presents (I did fall asleep during part of it - I was tired! We didn't get home from the Herron party until midnight!) and then pizza. A great time was had by all and we motored home in time to put up our stockings.
