Prom 2025

Chris and Ashley went to Prom. For their 'day date' they went to the Butterfly Bionome and then came home and got dressed up and went.

Ashley does love a butterfly and a pretty dress.

Headache Witch Doctor

So we/me, recently figured out that Ashley  has been having silent migraine headaches with auras for as long as she can remember. Cousin Tanya had great success with the Witch Doctor guy. So I called, thinking can't hurt.

(He is really a chiropractor).

Our appointments started Thursday (you go for 5 days in a row, then once a month or so). *It's like $5,000

Here are some of the 'treatments' she does. Josh went with us on Friday and gave the guy a lecture on why his lasers are going to blind someone.

After the second day, we went to Heathers and helped her plant her front bed. She is being SUPER OUTDOOR CRAFTY!!

It is going to look great!

Tulips!

Cousin Kristen and I (after several tries) finally got together to attend our annual Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I think we have been going for 8 years. Will have to research.

A great time was had by all.

Gallbladders and stones

So after the big Easter program and last day of school I could focus on me. So I drove right home and went to the hospital

After a CT scan I was told, yes, you do have lots of stones in your gallbladder. And a big stone stuck in the duct. But we don't do that here so you will have to go to the University of Utah. Ashley had come to visit me like a champ and Josh managed to get a ride back to Tooele.

So we went up to the U. I got admitted and then the surgical resident (sadly) informed us they couldn't do the surgery that night and I would have to spent the night (urgh, $20,000 I am sure).

So I waited all night and then at like 1 p.m. they come to take it all out. When I wake up the gallbladder is gone, but apparently the stone is still there. They spent an hour trying to pop it out of the duct. So I get to spend a SECOND night waiting for the endoscopy team to try and reach it from the mouth to pop it out.

So Holly comes and visits me. She is all done with her clinical hours and only has a test or something left and she will be all licensed!

Then I get scoped and they pop the stone right out. So I eventually get to go home.

Michael has been VERY worried. Ashley has been very worried. Ellie acts like she doesn't care, but I am pretty sure she does not want me to die.

Anyway, here I am gallbladder-less. The puffy-ness is gone, but the glue/scabs are itchy.

Oh yah, then five days later I have a D&C for my postmenopausal bleeding. Josh had a test so lovely Heather came up, spent the night, (we made her a nice little nest in the crafty room), took me down there, entertained everyone, and hauled my poor old body home. Go seester!
