Ellie did break her arm

This post was TOTALLY posted and then disappeared! Stuff better not be disappearing - how else am I suppose to keep track of my life?

Here is the story. It was Thursday. We were in the yard with the kiddos (3), neighbors (3), Korths (4), trying to set up the big pool so everyone could go swimming. Ellie and friends were swinging, when I came out of the house (trying to find something easier to blow up the pool than my lungs) she was sitting on the ground, crying. Reports were that she fell out, backwards.
It looked ok, but was ouchy. She kept crying. I sent her inside. I am working on the snail-worm-covered pool blowing-up. Wonderful neighbor Nancy comes over and starts to blow up the pool the old-fashioned way. I am managing kids, checking on Ellie (not any better). Kellie drops off some clothes and says she is fine. Tamara says it looks not good. I am trying to call a sitter (mainly to keep the 2 two year olds alive while I am gone).
Fabulous sitter Caroline comes to the rescue. Ellie and I go to the doctor. He said it looks ok, but he has been tricked before, and we should do an x-ray. I agree. Go there, do that. Doctor comes back in, "I am surprised, it IS broken!"
Subtle brace fracture - you should be able to see it here (not really):
So we got a cast.
She had been pretty good over the last few days. Didn't want to go to church. She and I came home and had some cheetos and fruit (and drugs) and mustered up to go back.

Also, then we had dinner with our friends (who brought Ellie flowers AND choclate later on, wasn't that nice?)
We have an appointment with the orthodpedic guy tomorrow for a cast or a brace. Will update!

Rearranging!

Yep, you know a guy loves you when he spends Saturday...rearranging your house!
I LOVE the new living room -  it is so cozy!
More space for more traffic. This room is HUGE! We are hoping to (have someone else) install a sliding door or something in place of the window, and did some arranging to make it look better.
We turned the table, and it actually works good! (Guess what we were playing this morning- Lego! (Josh made the girls sort everything into colored bins)
Also, I made challah bread (ok) and French bread (in my new fancy french bread pans!) Josh said the French bread tasted normal! I thought it was ok, it was crunchy.

We also got a tortilla press and tried that out Saturday afternoon.
(and the three new ramkins, so of course I had to make creme brulee ). We love kitchen stores!
And here is the worm project that came home, the worms are suppose to mix up the cornmeal, dirt and soil. The kiddos are pretty fascinated by it. We put the leftover worms (who ever thought I would be typing that?) into the garden. Last week of freedom! Come and enjoy a popsicle!
