I have to post this, since I forgot to write in the journals on Sunday.
We went for a walk with some of the neighborhood kids on Sunday. We were walking down the road and we all moved over for a car. Then Ashley looked down the road and said, quite clearly, "I see a car!" - a FOUR word SENTENCE!!! YAH!!!!!
Also, after a week of shooting pains and LOTS of tingling (think a bad asleep-leg waking up) I can sort of feel my lip! At least I can sort of feel when I touch it (this is the left side only the rigth side is fine - a result of slight nerve damage when they moved the jaw) and it doesn't feel 'dead' when I talk. YAH!! The whole left side (right under the lip) does feel 'better/more awake.' but still tingles like heck when it touches something (sheets, a towel, my fingers, etc). The surgeon said lots of people don't even get tingling until four to six months. YAH!
