Oreos!

So, finally, Oreo has come out with a Gluten Free cookie! I waited several days, and finally, when Ashley had an appointment in SLC we went in search of some. I think we went to 7 Wal-Marts to find some. Seriously - you have got to find the right wally-world person with a walkie=talkie to find the real information. Finally, at wally like 8 or 9 (truly I lost count after four), someone replied "oh, they don't have a home yet are in the back." So we got some

They are pretty darn good. But Josh says he can taste the difference. Whatever. Now to find a Kraft Mac and Cheese.....

A few things

So I was at my riding lesson on Jan 6 and fell off Shannon (she is tall). I fell on her neck and could not get balanced again and could not pull the reins back enough to get her to stop. (She is smarter than me, so that is good for learning!) So I decided to fall off myself and not get thrown off. I landed in the dirt (and apparently on my knee because it is so skinned up and bruised). I lay there a while and it hurt. Then Michelle led me over to get back on. I went home and it was sore. It hurt bad the next day. And then next. So on Saturday (after I played for a ward baptism) Josh took me to the ER. Apparently I have a compression fracture of my L2 vertebrae. Ouch!! So I got some pain meds and went off. They didn't really help. So I went to my doc (after calling around and even the Spine and Pain clinic said they would not see me!! Whatever.)

So Dr. Schultz was awesome and sent me a referral to said Spine and Pain clinic and I motored down there (after I was told the wrong clinic - I got to the right one and they still saw me!) The guy there said there was a lot they could do  - including injecting cement into that vertebrae and puffing it back up. (It requires a very long needle apparently).  So a guy came THAT NIGHT and got me a back brace. The PA said this is bone pain and not muscle and not to take any more opitoids, but he gave me Celebrax - a major anti-inflammatory. So I am feeling quite a bit better. So I will see how it goes for a few days before getting the MRI and seeing the doc again. I am not going to die!

Also, Michael continues to enjoy his Christmas crafting kits. And the girls got their top braces off! As you can see, they are not very cheery about it. No kid likes our current dentist and I told them they do not have to ever go back there again - we will find a new kid dentist (but the girls have to finish their braces there). Happy Martin Luther King day!

Also Josh's new workshop.

As you know, it is Josh's dream to have a big huge workshop for all his hobbies,  toys, machines, drilling, pressing, cutting and chopping stuff.

Since he can't have his dream right now, he has settled for his half of the garage.  The car has been permanently moved outside. Here is his new workbench. He also made a new drawer to go under some machines, so keep all the specific tools for that machine in there (anything to keep pieces and bits together is good I say).

So you can look for us in one of those two spots this year!

(He assures me that I will get to park in my side of the garage after this week).

It's magnificant - the craft room!

Yes, after many a year sharing a "Man cave/Craft room" with Josh I have cleaned around/in/out/ the craft side!!

There were many, many, many pieces of fabric to sort. But now everything is in cute folds in color-coordinated bins for the quilting I like to do. (And there is a huge glop of stuff in the van to take to D.I.) And the paints are down there. And  the paper crafts. So come and PARTY/CRAFT up a storm!! Also the space heater is down there, so we will stay nice and toasty. Now I only need a google down there so I can talk to the kids while I hide out.

Face shots

I have been trying to set up LDS Casting accounts for these people -  I mean how about Michael being able to say on his mission, "Hey I am in a movie - want to watch it with us?"

It is harder than it needs to be. But here are some face shots of all of us. Just so you can know how we looked in 2020.
