After that

So now we are home. Josh has an interview next week for his exact same job, but working for the government. He had a good job review with SLD (current employer) and reported he might get a nice raise this year. New job would be a pay cut. Will see what happens.

We got the kids toys for being so good for Grandma. Michael got a quad copter. Small so only can use inside.

Ash picked an snow cone maker. Ellie picked a game.

Then I spent almost three hours doing yard work - mowing, trimming, puttering. Maybe three hours was too much for the first day. Ouch!!

Alligators

We had a half day to play on Thursday (we decided not go see the mouse, because we wanted to save up for going to PITTSBURG!! - more details later).

So we went to an air boat to see alligators!!

It was also  $64, but pretty cool. You take off on this big boat and drive along. We saw two alligators and a sandhill crane on a nest.

There were also other animals to look at: including a zonkey. Then we went to the airport and came home! Once again, our bed was so comfy! The children excited.

Grandma - you are the BEST!!!

Fire alarm

So we were sleeping soundly, and suddenly there is a huge alarm: "A smoke detector has gone off in the building, please exit the building." It is pretty loud. So we got dressed and packed up the essentials (Josh's computer) and went out. As we exited the stair case, there was water pouring down one of the balconies. Then we stood outside for 45 minutes.
The fire truck came. It turned out someone has put clothes on the fire alarm and it went off. But we got a free breakfast out of it!

More Orlando

On Monday, Josh came home and said the SpaceX launch was on for that night - did we want to go see it? Heck yep!

So we went off. After a lovely $64 later we were at the Kennedy Space Center. The coolest thing was the Atlantis. You go around and see two movies about how it was built and then they open a big door and THERE it is!! Pretty cool.

Turned out the launch was cancelled, but we had fun anyway.

Orlando!!

Josh was giving a presentation at some conference and I got to go along! It was delightful. Here we are at the airport. Then he went off to conference and I just stayed in the hotel room for basically three days.  On day three, I had a lot of inspirations about myself. I also sat by the pool, went swimming and sun tanned!

Let's see

So far this month (note to self, blog more than once a month) - Ashley and Ellie are having some SAGE testing and Ashley has been VERY diligent about being ready and not missing school. We continue to see our friends Miss Liz and Mr. Steve. Muriel, our beloved neighbor, is still sick so the Relief Society is getting organized with meals, rides to school and activities. Go sisters!

Michael continues to love Warrior Fitness (gymnastics for boys). Ellie is getting ready for her spring dance recital. We have lots of friendly neighbors and playdates. .

Then mom and dad went to ORLANDO!!!

This week

General Conference was a big hit - Ashley  had her first conference nap!
Papa Smurf came to celebrate his birthday and Easter! A big party was held at Uncle Mike's. There was a pianata, cake, a yummy meal and treats!  Also we finally found Moo a suit jacket and  he dressed up all handsome.
