10,000 washes

After many weeks of the washing machine dancing around the laundry room (it was very very unbalanced, despite Josh's numerous tries to fix it)....

Josh researches around and finds....the ultimate washer. Speed Queen is where you want to be. It is all metal. Has a rotator in the middle. You can fill it ALL the way to the top. Pushes more water and soap through the clothes. Will wash any blanket you can stuff in there (winding it around the rotator thingie).

AND it is suppose to do 10,000 loads!!

AND it does a load in 20 minutes!!! (You spend all your time waiting for the dryer. I think we will get a clothes line).

Well, we are fancy. Come over and wash your clothes!

Honor Roll girl!!

Guess who made the Honor Roll last semester?

Go Ashley!!

Snuggle puppy!

Hang out time!

Holly's boys had a birthday party in Tooele on Saturday, and Holly, Adele and Patrick came to hang out! There was talking, Menchie's and some more talking.

See my daffodils?  They are like three inches out of the ground on FEB. 4th!!

Ellie got a cute little forklift key ring at work.

Romeo on his way to his favorite pee spot. He is such a good puppy - goes right out, goes and comes right back!

I am trying to track the progression of my bend-ed fingers. They are getting pretty crooked on that left hand. But they still don't hurt unless I touch something hard or hit them on something. That is good.

Mom-daughter date!

I motored down to see Ashley last Wednesday. It was a delightful afternoon! Like how our relationship will be as adults.

We walked all around campus and checked out every buildings I had not been inside of before.

We went bowling. Ashley is taking a bowling class and is getting better every week!

Then we drove around the Manti Temple so I could check it out.

After, we went to Ashley's favorite restaurant. The day before had been National Chocolate Day - so they had a very very chocolate cake (guess who got it?) and I had some DELICIOUS creme burell.

Ellie is awesome...

We found a carrot longer than Ellie's arm! (she was making carrot cake for some friends).

Preparing for her fancy new job, she also got a hair cut - like six inches!!

Romeo continues to be the cutest puppy ever.

Household stuff

Michael made a great little table in woodshop.

The city sent us a 'love note' that our trees needed a trim. It was basically a big massacre.

Bye Bye Uter-i party

Yes,  I am going to have a  hysterectomy in March.

To celebrate, Heather is throwing me a Bye Bye Uter-i party. (Name idea also included: 'bye bye you mutinous uterus' or 'farewell useless uterus').

Here is the poem she composed:

"Farewell useless uterus,

farewell and goodbye!

Now into the incinerator, you must fry!

Since 12 you've visited me every 28 days,

Barfing and moaning in bed I must lay.

At 30 I asked you to do your part,

and all you did was break my heart.

When I found you were tilted,

I felt jilted!

So bye bye uter-i

all you've done is make me cry!"

Pretty freaking good - right?

Holly also made me a t-shirt with the same idea. I am wearing it to the surgery day!

Emma's mission call!!!!!

We motored on down to Emma's mission-call-opening. She is going to the Atlanta Georgia North mission!!! She will be AWESOME!!

Patrick Harker is a cutie.

Sickness and surgery...

So Ashley finally got to have her surgery. She does have endometritis. Which was nice to know, then you have more treatment options.

She was glad to have it done and spend a few days at home.

We have all been sharing the influenza. Josh had a BAD case (even heard him say 'this was the worst illness that I have ever shared')

He spent a lot of days sitting on the couch, coughing. A good time was had by no one.

Ellie got her dream job!!

Ellie got her dream job!!! We celebrated with root beer floats.

She is going to work for Dillion, they do Toyota forklift repair. She will drive around and fix forklifts. In prep for this, she went and got forklift certified on types 1-5 (I think that is cool?) She also got to spend a day just driving forklifts around.

It is like a real job - with benefits and everything! It also has a tool program, where if she works for a year then she gets all the tools she needs for the tool kit for free. (like $10K!)

Congrats Pooky!
