New Year's Eve

We started out the exciting day by doing errands: library, metal thumb pick for the banjo, food. It was nice. Then we came home and took down the tree and decoration, etc. It is always amazing how big your house is after Christmas is put away!
Then Moo wanted to play with his new bubble bath paint:
And then we got to the food! I wanted 7 layer dip and shrimps and Josh obliged. Yum! Moo decided he LOVED 7 layer dip. " I can't help it momma, I just love it so much!" he kept saying as I handed him another one!

Moo went to bed at 8 - tired and sick with a cold.
Ash is determined to make it to midnight.
Ellie and I might go to bed before then!
Anyway - happy new year!!

Herron Christmas

So on Saturday we motored on over to SLC to see cousin Macey's baptism. All the cool Herrons attended.
Then everyone motored on up to Logan for the festivities!
Guess what Grandpa got Cassidy for Christmas?
Yep, it is a stuffed Corsican ram. (Note from the Herron children: Dad has GOT to stop going to auctions).
Here are some more pictures of the festivities, eating, talking and general merryment:

All the grandkids in their Grandpa jammies!
Josh then played Risk: Zombies version with the boys:
And sometime later (or before) they played Killer Bunnies!
 Ash made a fort:
On Sunday we played with the fam and then Uncle Mike, his kids and Josh and I (and kiddos) motored over to Montpelier to see Grandma Wild. The cute girls:

Grandma Wilde was in fine spirits and enjoyed seeing everyone. She was quite on the ball and was glad to see so many great-grandkiddos!

Ash and Moo liked to wait out in the hallway:
Then we motored back to Logan, ate more, and headed home. Yah!

The aftermath

So there were presents, gifts and general good times.
Then we all got down to some serious playing!

 Ben and Jason shooting:

I got there rolling pin things that makes the dough a certain thickness - VERY handy
And fun cutter-outers  - they work great on mini pie crusts!
 Josh gave me this: (well it has been up a few days) an AWESOME pot rack! It is SOSOS handy - how did we live without one? He even hung it just even and there are fancy hanging stuff invovled;

Heather made this shooter-downer-thing for her kids to shoot their nerf guns and bow and arrow at:
Uncle David gave Ellie a microscope!
Uncle David gave Ash a lego sorter!
Some naps were needed after the exhausting morning:

Coloring and crafting up a storm!

John just sleeps on - he liked the company

 Figuring out the parts:

 Play a video game
 Check the email
 Isn't this just the CUTEST?
Uncle David got Moo a HUGE marble run:

Figuring out the bracelet making kit

Preparing for and having a tea party with Emma

I got  Josh a banjo! AND I kept it a secret for weeks and weeks. Josh is such a good gift giver and this year I gave him a surprise gift he likes - yah me!

Checking phones of course to keep up
Ben, who has a man-crush on me, did give me a nice HUG on the way out the door! Thanks little man!
