Ashley turnd 8!!!

Ashley was, at first, nervous about sharing her birthday in Montana. But she continued on and had a delightful day. It started out with Lucky Charms. Then she got her presents! A cute pink kitty from the Mortensens and.....
And pink scooter from Mom and Dad!! There will be cake pictures at a later date.

Grandpa's house

So this weekend we motored up to Montana to see Papa Smurf!
Danell and her family were also there so a good time was certainly to be had by all:
Josh took his quad-copter which did eventually fly into a tree

Austin mowed the lawn. Everyone cleaned up a bit
Our kids spent the whole time glued to the TV

Chickens

Ashley recently said we have not had a chicken photo shoot in a while, so here are some chicken updates!

And then one day we also went to Aunt Heather's for a little mental therapy. Sam is so cute!

Tent city

Yep, I think one of the best things about being a kid - is building tents! Here is one of our recent creations.

Apple juice

Here is a random picture of the huge mess I made whole sorting, piling and re-doing the clothes and household stuff for the season change:

And then... a neighbor (Miss Nancy) gave us a huge batch of small apples from her tree. So Josh, being the usual awesome man, made an apple press for our own apple juice!

Josh also bought everyone a little gift from a trip to Logan.  Ashley got a little kit to make ladybug cupcakes:

When Grandma comes

My momma came to play for a bit and, of course, Aunt Heather came for a visit too! A good time was had by all.

Pictures of random stuff

Man - it has been a long time!
Here are some random pics =
I dropped my phone to save myself as I fell down the stairs - and cracked the screen. Fortunately my smartie honey ordered me a new screen and saved the day!

And here we are welcoming someone!

Nice lazy day at home:
