First crocus of spring

Yes here on February 24 (really yesterday but I only took the picture today) we had the first crocus of spring. Yah!?!

Crafty chickens

Josh built an outside pen for the brock-brocks. They can sit in the sun and peck around all they want.

 Josh got his Christmas-present-from-his-dad chainsaw put together and trimmed some of the neighbor's trees.

And I never told you about the new mud room! When we cleaned out the parlor for the new couch, etc. We moved all the kid shoes, backpacks, coats to the main level bathroom/laundry. It has been REALLY nice to have that all in one spot and right by the main door!

Valentine's Day

Ellie has had a little crush on a boy named Kenneth in her grade (don't tell I told you). She has been worried about if he likes her or not. But guess what he said on the big day? "I have something to give you at next recess." And this was it!

How cute is that? Here are some random pictures from the last few days/weeks - I will be a better blogger! I am saving up to do blog books 2013 and 2014. Wish me luck and a strong mousing-elbow.

And check out what Ellie is working on:   she had been interested in 3-D art for a while, but saw a video on YouTube and it helped her see what to do. (side note, she does NOT watch YouTube)
