After 11 days of sleeping in other beds, let's just say that when Josh and I collapsed into our soft, cool, inviting bed at 11:32 p.m. last night - it was the best place on earth!
Yes, we finished out 32 hour trip back to Tooeley last night. Josh's business contact (that we were going to go visit in northern Indiana, thus extending our trip by one day) was out of the office, so we just loaded up on Sunday evening and started driving. We did stop for about 4 hours and both sleep. Ellie was so great, sitting in her little car seat for hours and hours- way to go monkey! Also, it was VERYnice to take a shower last night - we were REALLY ripe and the car is sort of crunchy.
The DVD player really saved our sanity a few times. We FINALLY found a Red Box (only 7 days after we rented 2 DVD's in Nebraska) to return our tapes (Red Box has NOT hit Michigan yet - just FYI). We got another one in Rock Springs (or someplace in Wyoming - it is a very long state) and it helped us with the last few hours home.
All in all, it was a great trip and we had a fabulous time. And my honey and I still like each other AFTER 10 entire days together AND TWO 24+ hour car trips. He is so cute and fun to be with!
Man, I REALLY like my house! Like my computer here (I got up to kiss Josh good-bye and am trying to get caught up on my classes) - it has a nice big screen so I can have like four windows opened at the same time (multi-tasking!) OK, I am working a bit and then going back for a little snooze - Ellie should sleep a LOT today (in her own little bed, not a baby prison).
We are home and ready to play - come on over!
