Today we traveled down to the big Provo to celebrate the birthday (upcoming in two days) of baby Ben! Here are some cute pictures from the festivities:
What a loving look at his great mommy!
The al fresco dining was very popular!
The girls with their baby boys (we missed you Maren and Scott!)
A cupcake festival!
Holly even made me (no gluten) and Sally (no milk) a fancy angel food cake, since she knew it was our favorite AND strawberries. You rock Holly!
We are the Happy Herrons. I, the writer of this blog, am the adoring wife of Josh, happy mom to Ellie, Ashley and Michael. I have amazing friends and love to bake (even if it is gluten-free).

Adventures - WITH pictures!
Friday was the kindergarden field trip to the zoo day, and our whole family got to go! Our 'team' was Ellie, Ava and Heather (both of whom also had moms who came, so our job wasn't too hard). I was Mrs. Dye's bus buddy. We saw animals:
Our friend and teacher Mrs. Gayle Dye:
Got to ride on the carousel:
Were generally cute:
Let me tell you now a story about a balloon. On Feb. 15, we went to Maceys - and they were giving away the extra Valentine's Day balloons. Needless to say, we happily accepted two bunches (this was before M). One of the balloons eventually got lose and floated up to the ceiling. WHERE IT HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS! Not kidding. It finally floated down yesterday:
Moral: buy nice balloons at Macey's.
And Josh painted my fingernails all cute: here is the fancy one:
AND, I remembered the camera at the girls' soccer game yesterday. Here are some of the highlights:
We went to the store and got some outdoor stuff (more sidewalk chalk, two soccer balls that are infladed, a bug catching box). We have since been VERY busy catching bugs. This morning we are boasting, three slugs, a rolly polly or two and a "mosquito catcher" (which the girls apparently caught by the wing). Here are the proud explorers and their prizes:
Two weeks of school left! We are going to do home-summer school with math, reading and map adventures!
