So ALL YEAR long the third graders have been expecting the most exciting science project of all - dissecting a cow eyeball!!!
And when we went to check the girls out on Friday to go help with the new Lewis household work, Ellie came out crying and crying. Apparently Friday was EYEBALL day!!
So I said, let's find a solution. Miss Kellie said she would go and pick Ellie up after science and she could play at their house all afternoon. Ellie said no, it would be ok. But she was crying and so sad.
Then we came home and in the rush of getting ready, she disappeared for a while. Then she came downstairs and said, "Momma I prayed about it and I decided to stay with our family."
What faith is that? And such a sweet girl!
So I told her we would make it up to her and just today I called and found out you can get a cow eyeball from the butcher and it was FREE!!! So I got a pig heart too.
