Sometimes doesn't it feel like all you do is shop:
and clean up and wash and make meals and then clean up some more?
This week the girls continued to love dance class. I finished deep cleaning the family room, including removing 5 big trash bags of crap and old papers from the desk and even dusting the DVD's! Moo was diagnosed with strep throat on Monday. Ash and I did NOT have strep throat on Wednesday - but some virus and felt yucky for a few days. Went to foster care "Child in Trauma" class (#3 out of 4). I helped with computers in second grade on Tuesday and read stories to first grade on Friday (and read stories). The Korths came to play, much to everyone's delight. And on Thursday I cleaned out ALL the toys (downstairs, upstairs, etc). Reorganized the guest room (come visit!). I took a old toys load (quietly) to D.I. Took a cake to a funeral and did childcare. Saturday I went to an 'organ lesson audition' and got a new organ teacher! He gave me LOTS of HARD homework - ah! Also suggested I just get a new hymnal. So on our Saturday date - more to follow- Josh got me one! It is a thrice-riveted spiral bound one!
None of that had pictures, however.
Saturday, after my organ lesson, I came home and Josh was picking peaches. (here he is actually pruning the plum tree)
Our neighbor said we could pick the rest of her tree if we would prune it after. So we did! It was a LOT of work . And left a LOT of branches. (the tomatoes are on either side, the branch pile is that lump in the middle).
So we finished up that (and picking rhubarb and doing the tomatoes and
stuff). And took the kiddos to Kellie's and went and got a branch
chopper-upper off KSL!
And we went to Harbour Freight and to lunch and got the chopper upper.
Here is the tree after:
And Josh chopped and I cooked and preserved. Here is what I got!
Seven quarts of peach pie filling - yum!! And some frozen rhubarb, etc. Then I sliced my thumb during dinner prep so Josh finished up. We watched Lilo and Stitch and all fell asleep very early! Happy week!
