As you may know, being gluten-free has been six months of constant recipe testing. I keep coming back to my FAVORITE book by Annalise Roberts. So, having courage from so much experimental baking, I decided it was time to bring back...
GENERAL CONFERENCE CINNAMON ROLLS.
When Heather and I lived in Tipton, Ind. (back in our single days) the height of happiness was those store-freezer rolls in the tube, orange cinnamon rolls on Sunday mornings, with hot cocoa in our travel mug as we drove up to Kokomo to church. Ah.
So anyway, I made cinnamon rolls! And they were GREAT! Even the girls both ate a whole one and asked for more. So here is a picture of my experimental batch, today's batch is in the oven.
And here are my cute kids watching Pres. Monson announce that Elders can go on missions when they are 18 (if they want) and Sisters can go when they are 19. Pretty historic. I had to personally close my jaw twice over the announcements. It was pretty exciting. Yah missionary work! Yah work moving forward!
I printed out parts of various conference packets and the girls played "conference bingo" for at least one talk. Then they left and ate all their M&M's. All good. Happy conference day!
We are the Happy Herrons. I, the writer of this blog, am the adoring wife of Josh, happy mom to Ellie, Ashley and Michael. I have amazing friends and love to bake (even if it is gluten-free).

Life is ok, and going on
OK, so it is totally a paperwork snafu that is holding us up. The attornies are working on it and we will see how things progress. Good news: if they want to pay us a few more months, sure, we'll take the money! I ordered 1/4 of a cow for the freezer with our Moo money from last month.
I was crafty this week... chicken and onions were on sale and I did this:
To these: (frozen onions are SO handy!)
So now we have onions and chicken in the freezer. The cow won't arrive for a few weeks yet - eat lots nice cow!
We also had friends over and everyone wanted their picture taken:
